He is the founder of Red Envelope, Prophet Brand Strategy, and L2 Inc., acquired by Gartner (NYSE: IT) in March 2017. Scott’s books The Four (Portfolio Penguin, 2017) and The Algebra of Happiness (Portfolio Penguin, 2019) debuted on The New York Times and Apple bestseller lists. Scott has served on boards of directors including The New York Times Company (NYSE: NYT), Urban Outfitters (Nasdaq: URBN), and UC Berkeley’s Haas School of Business. He received a B.A. from UCLA and an M.B.A. from UC Berkeley.
