Today’s guest is a Manhattan-based holistic women’s health psychiatrist. Dr. Kelly Brogan is joining us. She’s out with a new book entitled, “A Mind of Your Own: The Truth About Depression and How Women Can Heal Their Bodies to Reclaim Their Lives.” She’s also the co-editor of the landmark textbook, “Integrative Therapies for Depression.” Dr. Kelly Brogan completed her psychiatric training and fellowship at NYU Medical Center after graduating from Cornell University Medical College, and has a B.S. from MIT in Systems Neuroscience. She is also board certified in psychiatry, psychosomatic medicine and integrative holistic medicine and specializes in root-cause resolution approach to psychiatric syndromes and symptoms.
In the interview we talk about what causes depression? What are we putting into our bodies that leads to this? And of course, we talk about money. We talk about health, but we also correlate it to wealth and shares the things that she practices to help her with her finances. At the end of the day, she’ll admit, she’s not the best sometimes with tracking her money, but she has a solution for that.
