My guest today is the diversely talented Jenni Pulos. Like a lot of us she has a maxed out to-do list. She is best known as Executive Assistant to Jeff Lewis on Bravo’s Emmy nominated hit show Flipping Out and it’s spinoff show Interior Therapy. Flipping Out is currently filming it’s eighth season with Jenni adding Co-Executive Producer to her very long to-do list which includes working as an actress, comedian, writer and rapper. Yes! She in fact won Showtime At The Apollo and was inspired to produce a rap album that just came out called Old School Kids Beats. She’s also the author of the book Grin and Bear It: How to be Happy No Matter What Reality Throws Your Way.

I respect and love Jenni. A lot. Watching her on TV I feel as though we’d connect and you can probably tell that I had a huge giant smile on my face during this interview. She’s extremely down to earth, funny and real. She’s a business woman, wife, mom and all around cool chick. And for all those reason and more, I’m super excited to have her on the podcast.

Several takeaways from our interview:

— Jenni’s biggest financial mistake right out of college… involving passing up an offer for a downpayment on a house!

— What it takes to succeed in the entertainment industry.

— How to spend and invest without fear… emotions she had to overcome.
