Today’s guest is a vegan celebrity chef and wellness expert. Jason Wrobel is coming out with a new cookbook this April entitled, “Eaternity: More than 150 Deliciously Easy Vegan Recipes for a Long, Healthy, Satisfied, Joyful Life.” He users powerful everyday superfood ingredients to create culinary masterpieces that attract a celebrity following from the likes of Woody Harrelson, Jeremy Piven, Robin Wright, Steve Buscemi and Russell Simmons, among many others.
A little bit more about Jason, he graduated from the Living Light Culinary Institute and earned a certification as a Raw Food Chef and Instructor. He went on to apprentice with some of the industry’s finest and most revered talents in New York City, Detroit and Los Angeles. His career highlights include winning the inaugural World’ best Raw Ice Cream competition in LA and being the first vegan chef ever to present live at the prestigious Pebble Beach Food & Wine festival. Jason is also the host of the popular YouTube channel The J-Wro Show where he showcases healthy recipes and lifestyle transformation tips and his TV series on the Cooking Channel How to Live to 100 is the first primetime vegan cooking series in TV history.
With Jason, we talk about the celebrity dish (obviously). We also talk about how he built his career after some failure in the beginning. I was really impressed with his YouTube channel, which ultimately made me wonder, “How long did it take you to get noticed with YouTube?” Spoiler: it wasn’t over night.
