Today’s guest is Mike Lowe and parents to young children out there – you’re going to raise the volume UP on this podcast.
Mike is the founder of Kidoodle TV, a unique subscription video on-demand service for families which offers quality kid-friendly entertainment in a commercial free environment. Think Netflix for kids. Plus Kidoodle has key features such as parental control, time limits and parent analytics. Great for kids given today’s “digital jungle” as Mike’s team calls it. The company is committed to making a positive impact for families, which I’m all for. Prior to founding the company, Mike has a background in journalism and new media.
Three takeaways from our time together:
- The future of children’s programming and the role Kidoodle hopes to play in that.
- The too-good-to-be-true investment that went down as his biggest financial failure.
- How does Mike manage screen time in his home? The American Academy of Pediatrics which discouraged all forms of screen time for toddlers under age 2 had now revised its suggested limits on screen time for kids saying quote: “in a world where ‘screen time’ is becoming simply ‘time’…our policies must evolve or become obsolete.’
