Today on So Money, Kimberly Palmer joins us. She is the senior money editor at US News & World Report and author of “The Economy of You: Discover Your Inner Enrepreneur and Recession-Proof Your Life.”  She is working on a new book coming out next year entitled, “Smart Mom, Rich Mom: How to Build Wealth While Raising a Family.”  Kimberly also serves as an adjunct professor at American University where she teaches a mastering social media course.

Three takeaways from our time together:

  1. Her side-preneur income. What she does and how it helps support her full-time income.
  2. How can working parents afford child care? Really.
  3. Why she likes to save more than she likes to spend.
